Preparing For Your Cleaning

Simple ways to prepare before we come

Looking forward to an upcoming visit from Christopher’s Chem-Dry? Wondering what you can do to ensure they are able to work as effectively and efficiently as possible?

While you don’t need to make any significant changes to your home to experience the effects of our innovative carpet cleaning process, there are a few simple things you can do to prepare. These steps will help our carpet cleaning team quickly get the job done and enable you to return to your day-to-day routine without any hassle.

Basic Ways to Prepare for a Visit

At Christopher’s Chem-Dry, we take pride in providing our customers with excellent service that prioritizes the health, safety, and comfort of their families. You can count on our carpet cleaners to be professional and communicative before, during, and after the carpet cleaning process.

We make it easy for you to know exactly what to expect every step of the way. In the meantime, you can take the following measures to prepare your home for their visit.

Remove Clutter

There’s no need to do a complete declutter of your home to enjoy a cleaner, fresher carpet. It is, however, important to remove items from the carpeted area so our technicians can carefully clean every inch. This step is also important for eliminating tripping hazards for our team members. Items that are frequently overlooked include shoes, toys, books, and small electronic devices.

Ensure Important Items are Safe

Our technicians work carefully, but accidents do happen. We encourage all valued customers to secure fragile items, heirlooms, and valuables in a safe location to prevent avoidable accidents and minimize unnecessary risks.

Direct Pets to Another Room

While the formulas used in our Hot Carbonating Extraction (H.C.E.) process are safe and non-toxic for pets, it could be difficult for our technicians to do their work if your pet is around. Take a moment to put your pet in another room before we arrive. It’ll only be a matter of hours before they can have free reign to enjoy your freshly cleaned carpet!

Check for Problem Areas

Are there any specific areas you would like your carpet cleaners to focus on? While our technicians conduct a spot test and thorough pre-inspection before beginning the carpet cleaning process, we realize you know your carpet best. Don’t hesitate to let us know if there are any areas you think require special attention or that you have questions about.

Relocate Lighter Pieces of Furniture

Heavy, hard-to-lift pieces can stay on the carpet, but any lighter furnishings should be relocated to another area of your home until the carpet is clean and dry. As our technicians are not licensed furniture movers, this is an important step for clients to perform on their own.

Simply clearing the area of plant stands, floor lamps, coffee tables, and ottomans can improve the ability of our technicians to give your carpet the deep, thorough clean it needs.

Have Parking Arranged

Because we sometimes use van-mounted equipment, we’re able to work much more efficiently if we can park as close to the door as possible. Even when your requested services do not require these van-based systems, we still need to get our equipment from the vehicle to your front door. Thus, we ask clients to facilitate nearby parking and make a clear path to the service area.

With our carpet cleaning services in Pensacola, FL, everything about having your carpet cleaned, including pre-visit preparations, is a breeze! We hope that information is helpful, but feel free to contact us if you have further questions or need clarification. We look forward to cleaning for you!
